Bye Wanaka 👋 Having not lived in the same place for more than 2.5 years since leaving uni.....a while ago, after 3 years of non-winters in Wanaka it is time for somewhere new. Off for 4 months in Europe 🏃‍♀️ and then it is back to Australia for a stint there. Exact destination and plan as yet unknown. I have my Wanaka souvenir @gareth.e.jones so what can go wrong 👌✨️

3 Peaks 🥇🏃‍♀️ 26km 1380m 2:29.13 Great to be back racing on the Dunedin trails for a third time, this time taking on the shorter 26km course as part of the @keaseries . Having only done three runs over 600m vert since September I knew this could be an interesting one. Went out as hard as the legs would let me up the first climb to try get a gap so that I could Nanna "the chute" on the Swampy descent, and then kept it going from there. Had fun trying to pace myself, catching some lads on the last climb and keep the momentum going to get a decent time. Coming in 6th overall and getting under 2h30 which I feel very happy with. Thank you to the team @3peaksmountainrace for another awesome event, @merrellnz , and to my chief cheerleaders @mandacheez @romawatterson @gareth.r.andrews and 👶 Aria.

Shotover Half weekend. Fun to be back racing, it's been a while. 🥈place to the speedy as @maia_flint , longest run & double the vert since September, and I finished feeling fine. Success. Celebrated with an epic hike up Sentinel Peak the next day with @jessvangriffin - the weather finally giving us a proper mint weekend day! Cheers to @shotovermoonlight for a great event, @merrellnz for the support and @suttonruns for putting this @keaseries out there at what is a perfect time for me to build into some shorter and 'faster' 🤔 races. Legend. 📷 One - Photos4sale 📷 The rest - Personal photographer & chauffeur @jessvangriffin . Cheers mate!

🔥 Another big name joins the Miner’s Trail! We’re excited to welcome Katie Morgan to the @udc_finance Miner’s Trail at Motatapu 2026. Now included in the @keaseries the Miner’s Trail is attracting some serious talent, and things are definitely heating up in the women’s field! Katie is a three-time Kepler Challenge champion, three-time National Short Course Champion, and represented New Zealand at the World Championships in Spain. Coming back from injury, Katie is using shorter, faster races to build momentum, and the Miner’s Trail is the perfect proving ground. Expect fast running, fierce competition and some epic battles on the Arrowtown hills. All eyes on the Miner’s Trail. 👀 📅 7 March 2026 #LegendAwaits #MinersTrail #Motatapu2026

Four weeks ago now 💔 This was me at 17km attempting to 'run' after rolling my ankle 11km into the World Champs short trail race. After stopping at the aid station which was ~100m behind me here and taping my ankle in one last attempt to keep going, I finally had to stop before the second climb which started about 20m after this picture was taken. I've had my Ultrasound results through. Grade 3 tear (so a completely torn) ATFL and grade 2 tear of my CFL. Also got a small bony avulsion and have damaged my deltoid ligaments on the inside of my ankle. So, turns out I rolled it pretty good. Seeing a sports doctor in 2 weeks to get some more advice, for now it's being patient and doing rehab exercises and what walking and biking I am able to do pain permitting. Racing in the remainder 2025 looking highly unlikely, however not making that call yet just in case some miracle does occur. I am looking forward to 2026 that is for sure 👌⛰️🏃‍♀️

World Mountain & Trail Running Champs 2025 ⛰️💔 Not the pictures I wanted to be posting - especially as I always look so fetching in my race photos 🤨 Went over on my ankle pretty bad 11km into the race. Pretty much knew then that was me done, however kept going in the unrealistic hope it might be okay. 6kms of getting myself out the valley and to the checkpoint, and couldn't run at all by the end of that with my ankle giving way at anything. No obvious break or fracture on the X-ray, but massive swelling very high up my shin and a deformity means I'm casted and in crutches as likely something has been missed. Will be getting an ultrasound on it back in the UK to tell me more. Super gutted, and so disappointed. For it to happen in this race especially. 2025 just keeps on dealing me the shit cards! However, these things happen. And it is what it is. So here's to growing some arm muscles and getting a wizz on the crutches, and recovering for what is surely going to be a cracking rest of the year and 2026! 🤞 Thanks to @gareth.e.jones for being the best, and to @joeyteganbird and family for being my cheering support crew out here - sorry you missed me at those later aid stations 🤭

I am proud that I have been selected to represent New Zealand for the second time at the World Mountain & Trail Running Championships 2025, this year hosted in Spain at the end of September. I will be running the 'short' trail consisting of 45km with ~3700m of elevation gain in the Pyrenees Mountains. Once again, this is a fully self-funded event and so I have set up a fundraiser raffle with the proceeds to help with the rather large cost of the race itself - team accommodation, team kit, Athletics New Zealand admin fee and team managers fee. I am very grateful to my main sponsor this year Merrell NZ for providing me with five gift vouchers to use for the raffle, and also to A'Pair store for providing a voucher to be used towards one of their pairs of sunglasses. Super glad that I can offer you guys something in conjunction with supporting me in my fundraising efforts! Every ticket into the raffle is $20 and gives you the chance to win the following: 🔷️ $300 Merrell NZ footwear voucher 🔶️ Merrell NZ gift voucher:               🔸️$200               🔸️$150               🔸️$100               🔸️$  50 🔷️ $50 A'Pair voucher Please let me know if you would also like to go into a separate raffle draw for: 🔶️ Size US 7.5 Merrell Longsky 2 footwear (yes they were mine but they are the wrong size and have only done 5km!) Below is the link to donate for the raffle, and it is here that I will comment with your raffle ticket number/s: https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/world-mountain-and-trail-running-championships 🔵 Raffle will be drawn on the 8th September and I will message you, as well as tag you on social media 😎 For my UK people - the raffle is for you too, I can help you with purchasing and with personal courier delivery! Can't thank any and all of you enough for any support you are able to give in entering my fundraising raffle ❤️ And good luck! ✨️ *Shout out to my gem of a friend @dan_shootz for helping me with the cover photo.....I would be nowhere without your technological skills 🤓 Thank you again to @merrellnz and @apairstore 🙏
