been waiting for this one :’) the season finale of @theexpresswaywithdulehill aired last night. ever since we wrapped in august, it’s been on my heart. you could just feel it was something special. i left a piece of my heart and soul on this project. this show ignited a whole new passion for storytelling inside me and it was truly an honor to be a part of this.
i can’t begin to thank @dannylee enough for bumping me to 2nd ac. watching you direct is so special, you have the most amazing magnetism and grace. thank you for fostering the passions of everyone around you.
a special thank you to @itscuongtran and @_drewbarnett for welcoming me into the camera dept with open arms and being wonderful mentors, answering all my questions with kindness and taking the time to teach me things. thank y’all for truly pushing me to do and be better every day and forcing me out of my comfort zone.
from lollapalooza and chicago’s skyscrapers to the streams benath coal mines in appalachia, every day was a story to tell.
this crew was truly full of some of the most wonderful human beings i’ve had the pleasure of getting to know, but the stories and things we saw made me so much more appreciative of life and the power of art. the stories told in the express way are so raw, real, inspiring and capture the essence of what it is to be human. i can’t express how lucky i am to have been a part of this. :’)
