This is one of my favorite memories. Catherine and I did a test makeup for her character in For Your Consideration. She goes from being a serious understated theater actor to what you see here. Chris as you can see us rather speechless. This is a good thing! Job well done. Catherine and I were laughing about her new look and how ridiculously over the top it was, she was approached by a grip. He said Wow!, you look amazing today, I wish more women cared about the way they look! Job well done Catherine! She was the kindest lightness most collaborative woman. Catherine made everything fun, she cared about everyone around her. She created a relaxed, silly, easy space. She prioritized happiness over perfection. She loved her family and cherished their time together. Sorry, EH! As Canadians we would laugh as we constantly apologized to each other. I adored Catherine, and it was a privilege and a joy to spend time with her. She gave me a lot of belly laughs and I’m proud of the characters, I was able to help her create. Much love to all that mourn her in her passing, especially her beloved family Bo, Matthew and Luke and the O’Hara clan. Catherine will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. (One of the angelic vocals on this song was Catherine’s sister Mary-Margaret.)

Watching a wonderful documentary directed by Ben Stiller, Stiller and Meara Nothing is Lost on Apple TV . As a kid I loved Ben’s parents Stiller and Meara. Watching this film was nostalgic for me and my childhood. I even had a sudden craving for Dad’s cookies, a Canadian treat from those days. I was so thrilled to work with Ben on one very long day of shooting on Tenacious D pick of Destiny. He played a guy that worked at a Guitar Center, like many wanna be rock stars. His wig was made by Victoria Wood. Funny story. She was walking down the street in New York and she saw a guy and asked if she could buy his hair. She thought it would be perfect for this Ben’s wig. He said yes, she pulled him into the SNL Hair and Makeup room at 40 Rockefeller,and asked if she could use the room for a briefly. She cut off his hair, paid him an off he went.Linda Flowers applied his wig. I did the side burns and tattoos.
