With my friend, neighbor, and fellow collector of trash, Jill Dalton, this is a love letter to our very special neighborhood in East Bayside (KP♥️) Portland.
Opens Fri, Feb 6, 5-8 pm @mayostreetarts
Just the most wholesome morning you could imagine at @coveside_coffee this weekend. Thirty two volunteers, a Woodford’s Corner and Back Cove clean-up totaling 52.4 lbs of debris, and an inspiring art activity led by our friend, @kategerwig .
Of course, Rubbish is about removing trash from the environment (and the impact that all our litter-pickers have is substantial!), but it’s also about community. This weekend was a great example of that in a time when it is really needed too. Filling our cups, or our buckets rather, one clean-up at a time.
See you Wednesday at @orangebikebrewing for 2025’s final hoorah!
BIRDS!!
Kate Gerwig @kategerwig has created this glorious flock to inhabit the barn at @sidlehousemaine . When you sit in the room for a few and observe, it really does feel like you're surrounded by winged friends, especially how the tiniest breeze keeps all these beauties in perpetual motion.
Capturing this piece as it appears in person was a unique and fun challenge and (hopefully) gives you an idea of what its like when you're immersed in the space. (Go up and find out for yourself!).
