Minutes before walking out to the stadium my eyes began to well with tears; I saw a playback of my life and every single moment that had led me to THIS moment.
I am nothing without the sacrifices of my parents, who both emigrated from the Dominican Republic. I am nothing without my mom, who drove a taxi every day in the streets of NYC as a way to provide for my sisters and I once my dad passed. I used to wonder if my dreams would come true…
I didn’t know how, but I knew it was possible.
This performance to me was important because I wanted every little girl and boy out there with big dreams to see it IS possible. Your circumstances do not determine your outcome. Believe in yourself ✨
I wanted to show gratitude to my family and most importantly my mom for all of her sacrifices that were not in vain. She did it alone, but on Sunday night the world cheered for her and all the other immigrants who have moved away from their homes in order to provide a better life for their families.
We are all people, and while our struggles may be different, we bleed the same color. We need one another and that is why we all exist together! The only thing more powerful than hate is LOVE!!

Ended 2025 with some sancocho 😋 (iykyk) thanks to my mami for always taking the time to cook @estherdiazpaulino ❤️, got a much needed trim from the best @styledbyraquel 😘, saw my sister/ bestie who I could not do life without @vivlarai (long distance besties are not for the weak 😩), and then started 2026 in the mountains filled with snow (my dreammmm 😩🥶) performing alongside an artist and human whom I adore and respect @ricky_martin ❤️ and my friends who always make every adventure better 🥰

Dance continues to feed me, and my love for it grows with each passing year. 🥹 I couldn’t imagine my life without dance- it has given me a reason to get up on the days I didn’t want to, and has given me the opportunity to express myself on the days when words don’t make sense. I love u forever dance and I hope we find each other in every lifetime 🤞🏽🥹✨
