At Miles Ahead Scholars, we believe that exposure is the bridge to opportunity. Jamal B.’s journey from @kashmere_rams to the Forty Acres is a powerful reminder of what happens when you “shoot for the stars.” During his time as a scholar, summer business camps and campus visits turned a distant dream into a tangible reality. Today, Jamal is a first-year student at @utaustintx McCombs School of Business, where he is already leading as an ambassador for the Heman Sweatt Center for Black Males and a committee member in the Black Business Student Association. Jamal’s advice to the next generation? “Stop waiting.” By embracing every opportunity early, Jamal secured a full-ride scholarship and recently landed an offer for the Launch @apple Finance Development Experience for Summer 2027! We are incredibly proud of Jamal’s drive to bring his finance expertise back to communities like Trinity Gardens, creating access for those coming up behind him. A special shoutout to Mr. Beeks for seeing that potential early on and guiding Jamal toward his full-ride success. Congratulations, Jamal!
