@hapaxmagazine will be at @peckham24photo 'a bigger book fair' this weekend, you'll be able to go and have a look and purchase issue number 8 which features some new work by me for a project called Hauntings. In 2025 I headed east along the South Coast of England. To find a white witch, who read my tarot when I was a teenager, and told me things about myself that I realised to be true some 20 years later. On the journey I visited places from my childhood, drawn to subject matter that I couldn't understand, until I looked back at the family archive and realised why. Hauntings pieces together new photographs taken last year and archival material from my family album to form a story about photography as divination, exploring time as a non linear concept.

I'm still making work about Portsmouth, it's become very slow and cathartic, as events occur across the city it pulls me in and out of the process. The work still feels unresolved and I'm not sure it will ever be something I can put down completely, but I'm content with picking it up now and again. It also allows me to explore new ideas and make new work, which I'll be sharing in January as part of a @hapaxmagazine commission.

I can't help but wonder what will happen to this place as a development of 6000 new homes starts to take shape nearby.
