ART AUCTION! – “The Infinite Blue Guardian” by Karima
Some paintings do more than decorate a wall.
They hold a story, a journey, a quiet strength that stays with you.
“The Infinite Blue Guardian” was created by Karima, one of the Afghan artists supported by Greater Action. In this work, a powerful being moves through turbulence with calm and awareness, becoming a symbol of resilience—the strength to continue, even when the path is uncertain.
For Karima, this painting reflects her own life: a time of difficulty, of searching, and of choosing, with courage, to keep moving forward as an artist. It speaks of perseverance, dignity, and the quiet certainty of those who refuse to lose their way.
As we begin a new year and a new cycle, this piece can also be seen as a reminder of protection, clarity, and inner strength—making it a meaningful gift, whether for someone you love or as a powerful intention for yourself.

I had a session where I was asked to talk about my art — why I started, where it began, and how my path was shaped.
While explaining, I realized that there is never enough time to fully describe art, because art is infinite; it has no boundaries and no end.
What stood out to me, however, was being asked:
“Do you consider yourself a professional artist?”
“Are you truly confident in your work?”
At that moment, I felt more disappointed by the way the question was asked than by the question itself. It could have been expressed differently, with more respect, rather than in a sarcastic tone.
My conclusion is this:
Art has no limits and no final destination. Every artist can be professional in their own place and within their own style.
What truly matters is starting and not giving up halfway.
Not surrendering.
Being able to grow your art and still fighting for your goal.
With every painting, I fight for myself and for my purpose.

From combining the colors to completing this painting, it felt as if I had started painting all over again. It had been a long time since I worked with relatively cool colors, and that was interesting and surprising for me. Sometimes, when I looked at the painting, I felt that it didn’t have the warmth it should have yet, and it didn’t feel appealing — it didn’t touch my heart. But as I spent more time working on it and went through many stages, I saw it getting better and better. Then I told myself that the problem wasn’t with my painting; the problem was with my perspective. I had expected it to be complete and perfect right from the first moment. This goes back to me — sometimes we shouldn’t rush; we need to be patient and give time to things. Everything will eventually work out on its own.
My lovely painting.

Every painting I create carries a story behind it.
When I first began painting, I felt a deep sense of freedom and independence awaken within me.
Each of my artworks reflects the struggles I’ve faced in life — challenges that I’ve overcome and grown stronger from.
These experiences have shaped me, made me braver with every brushstroke.
Painting is a world where time simply fades away;
hours pass as I lose myself in colors and emotions, unaware of the ticking clock.
