I put this together in the sunshine yesterday. I’d like to dedicate this to every person who has felt their worth wrapped within the unrealistic standards and expectations of social media….or any metric, really. I hope you have your tea and coffee by you, take a deep breath, and remind yourself that there is abundance living within the intimate. I would also like to share that sharing this is a sign of expansion for me. As someone who is quite bashful, I often have a hard time accepting that something that was built from my heart has had the impact that it has…so, I am (snail paced) learning to actually allow myself to feel it. I am an open book if anyone has any questions!

How privileged are we to age? I would absolutely never want to invalidate anyone’s feelings surrounding growing older but a few years ago, a single email changed my entire perspective.
This email was from the mother of a Range member whose daughter did not have that privilege. She simply asked me to cancel her daughter’s subscription and thanked me for supporting her daughter during her cancer treatment. I think of her and her family every single day. Her comments on Range keep her spirit alive, woven inside her favorite classes.
The beauty, tech, fitness industries have convinced us that aging is “anti, anti, anti.” This could be a novel, but inside, you all know the truth already. It is beautiful…and challenging and lonely and confusing and filled with hardships AND beautiful, to age.
There is no slowing down the tides of time but there are ways to help us ride the wave. We can continue to play with movement, lift weights, use tools for guidance and support (like the chairs and walls we use on Range all the time). We can laugh, tell stories, eat delicious things, learn new skills, discover new movement pathways AND adapt movement pathways that no longer fit us.
We can call upon the fluidity of the rivers, strength of the trees, heat from the fire, air from the wind but we MUST keep moving. Sure, of course we do this for our muscles, our bones, our connective tissues, our metabolic and immune health but we do it because being here on Earth is a gift.
It would be an honor to introduce new wrinkles alongside you. Cracks and sun spots of a life that has been lived. I’ll be here as long as living in my body allows….right next to you living in your own. 🌀
I have had the privilege of being alongside 57 women over my last 4 Retreats. All have cracked me wide, wide open but this weekend was a brilliant display of how our collective anxieties, fears, and insecurities have the innate power to build an unbreakable bond. After each one, I am forever changed.
This isn’t a wellness retreat. It’s an absolute act of rebellion. Hand in hand this sisterhood joined together, climbed a literal mountain, filled our bellies with nourishing food, laughed until our pelvic floors ALMOST gave out on us and said a firm NO, to all the dangers that fill the wellness industry. We also said no to Mike, but that’s a story for a different day.
It shouldn’t make sense that 57 women (17 this weekend including me) should work so harmoniously together. We accept each other for our differences, giggle over our similarities, there’s not a single ounce of competition. Only love and deep deep understanding.
To those who haven’t joined yet, this isn’t an exclusive club. We thought of all of you who we don’t yet know personally. There’s an energy about Range that whether you’ve been on Range for 2 months or 2 years - you can just feel the warmth and comfort. It’s GENUINE.
And guess what? Jesse @jesse_lawson - who wrote this? She had never even taken a class before. She took a leap and left with 16 sisters and a new found love for herself.

INTO THE BODY / ONTO THE BODY II Live now!
Into The Body / Onto The Body II embraces the minimalistic concept of a ‘daily uniform. Throughout the design process, we kept returning to the intention of creating an outfit that makes getting dressed for everyday life both simple and elevated. Designed with movement, gardening, trips to the market, coffee shop and school pick up in mind - the Snail Shorts and Cocoon Robe are here for you to breathe, move and revel in the magic of the mundane.

We are living, breathing, moving ART. It’s no wonder that Range has become such a haven for artists. Art sees art. Creativity sees creativity. I wish you all could witness the artistry that exists within the metaphorical walls of Range!
When I parted ways with dance, in a formal way, I thought I needed to part ways with calling myself an “artist”. Reclaiming myself as an artist has opened up an entire portal of creative expression AND it has connected me with countless of you who are writers, actors, dancers, ceramicists, painters, jewelry designers, clothing designers, photographers…
Movement practitioners are artists whose medium is motion of the human body. 🌀

…and this is how longevity is woven into the fabric of Range. We train and embrace these patterns so that are nervous systems (and as result our complete bodily environment) familiarizes ourselves with endless movement pathways.
This is coming in tomorrow’s class, Weighted Human Movement Patterns, Human Noodle. 🌀
Human Movement Patterns is an entire class format that trains us to move in an organically human way while handling heavier load. Bing, bang, boom.

I could talk about what it’s like to teach in person but how could I even put it into digestible words for social media? I’ve shared with you all before that I’ll never be able to fully see the impact that Range has had on so many around the world. I’m sitting in my Uber before I head back up to Vermont and though I might not be able to type it out, I can FEEL it all so vibrantly. Lastnight and this morning, 60 of us moved alongside each other.
I look into your eyes, often teary, as you share your stories with me.
I feel the sweat of your skin in a warm embrace, after we’ve moved together and given ourselves space to be BIG, wild, and totally natural.
I hear laughter and voices as people introduce themselves to their neighbors because this movement reminds us that we are social beings who are all craving community and a sense of togetherness. We don’t need more spaces where the oxygen is sucked out and it’s stifling with “order” - we need SPACE, AIR, BREATH, LIFE.
I smell the salt of your sweat and natural body odor because who the fuck cares, we’re human. There’s so much memory in smell. I remember the way you smell.
Movement is sensorial and each time I guest teach, the stories, the tears, the laughter, the sweet, the pink cheeks, the wild hair, the natural bodies, the JOY that exists because of these experiences reminds me that Range is so god damn fabulous. I am so bashful but I can confidently say, Range people are so god damn fabulous.
I’ll never be able to thank you all enough for receiving me with so much warmth, exuberance and vulnerability. Thank you thank you thank you. To @campbramble + @jppilates1 thank you for being such wonderful hosts. If in Charlestown, you MUST go to Jenn’s studio. If you’re seeking a woman’s summer camp in Maine, please please please check out @campbramble every single one us is yearning for experiences to get outside in nature, meet new friends and embrace the child within us. 🌀
I am currently reading Tao, The Watercourse Way by Alan Watts and Al Chung-Liang Huang which interprets the ancient texts of the Lao-tzu, Chuang-tzu and Lieh-tzu to be digestible for our modernized western culture. The quote in the video is from page 42.
“It seems that rigid people feel some basic disgust with wiggles; they cannot dance without seeing a diagram of steps, and feel that swinging the hips is obscene. They want to “get things straight” that is, in linear order, which is not tse or li. But who can straighten water?” Page 46
As this pertains to us, today. YES, lift the Metal of weights….but “only” weights keeps us rigid or dare I say, hides us from the infinite expression of the Elements.
Move like the clay of the Earth
Move like the rivers and oceans of Water
Move with heat and heart like Fire
Move like the trees of Wood
Move with weights like Metal
Be the Elements. Dance like Wind.

Reduce, reuse, recycle, ya know? This Revolve top has seen me through many a late night and spilled gin and tonics and LOOK, she’s been reincarnated 🌀and because the internet has a hard time with sarcasm, this is supposed to be silly…unless of course, like me, you do have a lonely bodysuit from 2015 in your closet.
