🎼✨ Classical Concerts at the Old Chapel ✨🎼 As the evenings draw in and the days turn cooler, why not spend a Sunday afternoon with us, enjoying beautiful classical and world music – complete with tea and cake during the interval? Our afternoon concerts begin at 3.30pm (doors 2.45pm), perfectly timed for trains from Plymouth. We round off the season with a special evening concert in December. We begin on 12th October with the return of the acclaimed K’antu Ensemble and their programme Music in the Age of Discovery, featuring flutes, voice, lute and percussion in a thrilling fusion of classical, folk and world traditions. On 2nd November, the Meridianum Ensemble brings an uplifting journey through music traditions from Iran and the Eastern Mediterranean to Portugal and Scandinavia, with instruments including the Arabic oud, cittern, nyckelharpa, hurdy-gurdy and Persian santur. On 30th November, virtuoso violinist Philippa Mo performs some of the most colourful and expressive solo violin works by J.S. Bach, part of her stunning series of concerts exploring his masterpieces. Finally, on 5th December at 8pm, we welcome back the Levowan Chamber Choir for their much-loved Christmas concert. This established South West ensemble captivates audiences with its rich choral sound and commitment to making classical music accessible for all.
