Tomorrow is THE DAY!My Madama Butterfly debut At @oper_frankfurt , with @annaprinceva , @kangwang, @kels.lauritano and @domen_kriza in the main roles.The music of Madama Butterfly is probably among the most intimate, sincere, and delicate in the entire operatic repertoire. It was Puccini’s favorite opera.It is one of the most challenging and captivating scores for orchestra. Harmonically, it is remarkably modern. The percussion writing is wonderful.If you close your eyes, you can see Japan in front of you, even if you have never been there.Cio-Cio-San’s music is synonymous with ️ love, the result of the immense ️ love Puccini devoted to this courageous young woman.It is when working on scores like this that I can truly say my job is one of the most beautiful in the world.——— from the General Rehearsal by © Barbara Aumüller———@gmartandmusic#conductorslife
