It should go w/out saying no matter the reason for your travel, but I know a lot of people get caught up in the aesthetic of it all. Don’t just go somewhere to say you did it. Be a sponge, learn what you can, pour into it where it’s warranted, and respect local’s wants and needs. Traveling the world opens your heart and mind to so many perspectives and for me personally it has broadened my respect for so many different ways of life. If more people traveled (not just vacationed), there’d be a whole lot less hate in the world. But you HAVE to do so with respect. Nothing belongs to us. The rat race in the states was driving me to insanity. I needed to escape society’s obsession w/ materialistic things and constantly having more, more, more. I’d rather meet new people, experience new things, and make more memories than worry about how I can get rich and live in a high rise, own a fancy car, and wait for the drop on a new designer bag. Material doesn’t mean a whole lot to me. Yeah it’s nice, but it’s not my priority. There’s so much of this world I want to see. Time is the most valuable thing on this earth and I don’t want to waste mine anymore. So here’s to taking chances. I love it over here 🥂❤️🇵🇷

I feel like I’m being called in a thousand different directions. I want to follow my heart, but it’s getting harder to tell the difference between my heart and head. Everything sounds right and then nothing sounds right at all. Some days I’m enthusiastic about an idea, and others I think I’d rather bedrot away. I want to be around all of my loved ones and live a village life, but then sometimes I’d rather pack everything up and do life alone. I feel like an anomaly all of the time, and that’s okay. I don’t necessarily want the standards society painted for us. But this feeling on top of the state of this country, it causes random surges of overwhelm. It’s like a constant state of confusion, overwhelm, and limbo. It all feels like a test that has no answer. And I know I’m not alone in this feeling, I wish I could pull us all out of it. But for now, I’m sending you all love <3

We got systemic “leaders” being exposed for heinous crimes, eating babies, rape, torture, blackmail, murder, and so much more and nobody is being arrested? Your president is mentioned over 30,000 times and is distracting the world with war and Nicki Minaj.
On top of the ice raids, evident racism and discrimination, inflation, and overall cost of living mentally and physically, corporations that have been involved in the disappearing of children, unaliving of people, and torture of many are still capitalizing off of our time and money.
Let it fall and crumble.

Grateful for the opportunity to display art in a space that doesn’t reject activism art for its “controversy.” Pancakes & Booze is a great host. Seeing people take time to read and think about the piece warmed my heart. To think this all came from one piece back in 2021. At a time when police brutality was spreading across media like rapid fire, and stereotypes were at a high per usual, I decided to make my classmates uncomfortable for a class project. That project has now bloomed into a series that sheds light on the ignorant stereotypes we as people face everyday. We might not all look the same, or have the same exact struggle, but as one we are stereotyped by the mass of prejudice people.
I think it’s important, especially in today’s times, to recognize and embrace each other. A goal vital to oppressors is division. If there was ever a time for us to come together and realize that, it’s now. Unity is a prayer I call out every night. If my pieces have any effect, I hope they help people realize how crucial unity truly is.
