The “Fluor Series” was launched in 2017 and is the subject of an ongoing artistic development characterised by intense colours and technical sophistication. The starting point is the striking choice of the signal colour neon red, whose luminosity stands out in urban spaces and within the white cube.
Earlier works are characterised by minimalist forms and clear blocks of colour, which compel the viewer to form an immediate and striking impression. In contrast, recent works appear more complex and multi-layered due to the incorporation of additional materials and colours – particularly malachite. A focused dominance of colour is combined with an interplay of texture and form.
The Fluor series not only symbolises an individual artistic statement, but also draws attention to current discourses in art that explore perception, colour theory and urban perception.

Kai “Semor" @kai_semor
He lives, loves and works in Cologne/Germany. His roots come from the classical style writing as a representative of the graffiti movement. Semor loves working with wood and recycled materials like metal and old frames or photography prints. Discarded objects are revived and refined, supplemented by graphic as well as abstract areas and shapes. Since 2022, he has expanded its colour range to include further shades. His works are created using acrylic paints in combination with exterior paints. He sometimes also paints using a very wet-on-wet techni- que. Kai Semor works on a wide variety of surfaces, using not only brushes and paint rollers but also cardboard and other tools.
