The ā€œGPs only see coughs and coldsā€ allegations continue šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø One morning clinic can include physical health, mental health, safeguarding, paediatrics, chronic disease, acute illness, difficult conversations and everything in between. General practice really is the front door of medicine . . . @littmannbysolventum #doctorofinstagram #doctor #health #gplife #nhs

ā€œDon’t lie to your doctor.ā€ šŸ‘©šŸ½ā€āš•ļøšŸ©ŗ Not because we’re judging you… But because small details can completely change medical decisions. Things like: • saying you don’t smoke when you only stopped last week • saying you’re taking your medication regularly when you’re not • saying you’re not sexually active when it changes what we need to consider medically These answers affect: diagnoses, blood tests, treatment plans, medication choices and risk assessments. We ask certain questions for a reason, not to embarrass anyone or ā€œcatch people out.ā€ Honest answers genuinely help us treat you safely and properly šŸ¤ Have you ever been surprised by the kinds of questions doctors ask? @littmannbysolventum #Doctorlife #gp #nhs #medicalreels #healthcare

A marathon is hard, don’t let social media fool you. One week on from London Marathon, let’s get to the real debrief. As hard as it may be to believe I don’t love running. Yes I run often but I do it because of the people, the community and the health benefits I have noticed. So with that I always knew running a marathon would be hard for me. Add in me being injured and physically unable to run more than 2k without pain 11 days before the run was far from ideal. Despite all of this I pushed through and I didn’t defer (mainly because I was not looking to do that training block all over again 😭). Race day I had an amazing time the first 21k which led to a half marathon PB. After this the reality of the distance set in and it was a hard second half. I still pushed through and managed to finish. Yes not with the ideal time I had in mind but proud of myself nonetheless. Did I struggle and complain? Yes Did I also have fun and enjoy parts of it? Also yes Would I do it again? No…well unless I’m being paid to šŸ˜… Do I have any regrets for doing it? Definitely not it was a wonderful experience and I’m a stronger person as a result. Special thanks to @826active for allowing me the opportunity to run. Thanks to @runna for being my training partner throughout. Thank you London! . . . . #running #londonmarathon #fitnesslife #explore #marathon

Wow London Marathon 2026 complete 🄹 I ran my first ever 5k in October 2024 when I went to my first ever run event and @826active made me feel so welcome I have never looked back. As I write this sore, bruised and barely able to walk I’m still in disbelief that I did this. I completed 42.2k…26.2 miles!? As much as these pictures show my smiles and joy if I say this marathon was easy that would be a lie. It was the hardest thing I have done physically and mentally. The battle begins before the day on the months of long training, me trying to fit it in with work, family, friends etc. This is likely a post of many for this marathon but the first person I would like to thank is ME. I did not give up in training, after becoming injured when I didn’t even know if I could run at all, I didn’t give up during the marathon itself when I felt to cry and quit. I’m proud of the determination I have shown myself, I showed up for myself and I love that! Thank you @826active for the opportunity to run and thank you @londonmarathon for an amazing day!
