For those of you that are new here, welcome :)
I’m Kannika, a photographer based in Australia.
I picked up a camera a few years ago and found my love in photography.
Still learning and figuring things out, but that’s part of what i enjoy about it.
It was harder than i thought to choose these photos… but here are some of my favourites so far.
Hope you enjoy them and I’ll see you out there :)
Not sure if it’s age, travel, or just doing photography for longer, but it feels really different to me now.
I used to care so much about getting the shot. Now I care more about the people I meet, the conversations, and actually enjoying being there.
First time visiting the Gold Coast 2 years ago was for my partner’s birthday trip. Then it was my friend competed in bodybuilding.
Since then, I’ve met so many like-minded people I now call friends.
Being back here this weekend gave me more memories of what I actually love about this community and the small circle around me.
Early mornings, swims, time with your people.
A lot of laughs, a few tears.
Goodbye for now.
I’ve always known about Iceland. Always knew I’d go one day - just didn’t know what to expect.
But it ended up being one of those trips that quietly shifts your perspective.
Something about the raw, unfiltered nature. Just as it is. Hard to put into words.
Life as is.
And that’s just enough to make you pause and see things a little differently.
I came across this little town near Oslo while scrolling through places to visit…
Brummundal turned out to be one of those quiet hidden places you don’t really hear about - just winter trees, birds, squirrels… and nothing else around.
It was our first stop as soon as we landed. First gym too (an official Hammer Strength training centre. Just unreal).
The cabins brought me straight back to my first time in Finland & Norway.
There’s something about winter here… it doesn’t feel real.
Which bird stood out to you?

I left Thailand at 18
before I really knew who I was
back then, I didn’t think much of it it was just where I grew up
people saw beauty in it I didn’t
it’s strange how that changes with time
now I notice things differently even in places people call “boring”
maybe it’s because
I get to experience things differently now
maybe it was never about the place just the way I saw it
maybe that’s why I tell stories through my lens
but every time I go back
something about it still feels familiar
like I remember how it used to feel
I’ll be back this October 🇹🇭

When we told our friends in Perth we were moving to Canberra, a few of them said, “there’s nothing there.”
Fast forward 6 years later…
we’re still here.
I picked up a camera and started noticing things differently.
I met my first photography friend here.
His partner just had their second son last week.
I built K.Foto here.
With people I now call friends, who helped shape it.
I adopted a kitten.
Freya is now 5 years old.
I competed in powerlifting, and now bodybuilding shows.
Again, with friends who show up and support me.
And even now… I’m still discovering it.
I found a new walking trail in Coombs just yesterday.
Crazy how much of Canberra I’m still uncovering.
I didn’t expect Canberra to feel like this.
As a photographer, it’s the mornings, the light, the space… the way everything just feels calmer.
And somehow, without realising it,
it starts to feel like home.
I’ve had so many of you share your stories too.

moving here for a few years and staying for ten,
meeting your person, building your life,
finding something you didn’t expect.
So this one’s for you.
Easter weekend only - 50% off all Canberra prints.
Link in bio.
For the ones who found a home here.
Love,
Kannika
Started snowboarding after moving to canberra in 2020 and somehow we just kept coming back here.
Not really sure when it stopped being just a trip - maybe it’s because i love winter so much 🥹
I’ve never really been someone who stays in one place.
From Thailand to Perth, now Canberra… and probably more to come.
But for now, I’m content here.
I’ll say goodbye one day, just not yet.

Iceland felt like another planet.
Black sand beaches, glaciers, waterfalls everywhere! And the wind was absolutely wild 😂
Still one of the most incredible places I’ve explored and photographed.
