What an amazing time I had at the Opening Night of the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee 🥺
Wow. A lot of people are lovvvving it and that fills my heart with bliss, it’s an honor to do this role and receive the love 💛
It’s my second opening night for a show of mine, I feel so immensely lucky and renewed and proud and just excited to live in this moment :)

I always have too much to say so I’ve been avoidant but I’ll try to keep it succinct I’ve already waited long enough:
I closed Kimberly Akimbo last weekend.
I closed my first broadway show last weekend.
I started the rest of my life with the most gratitude, hope and eagerness I’ve ever felt last weekend.
3 years ago I decided I wanted to go into theatre, I wasn’t confident I’d ever find enough success to live, much less make it to Broadway but I knew I couldn’t physically try with my whole heart to do anything else. And then I made it here,
the whole thing is still so crazy and such a privilege it’s not even fair, trust me I talk about it in therapy all the time. Now, 3 years, a Broadway debut, Tony Award Ceremony, and so much education, love, amazing and trying times later, I’ve made it to the other side and am just so so grateful for everything and everyone that’s happened to me.
A boy to a man I think, still a goofy little nerdy little goober though. I’ve changed a ton and Im so grateful for and will treasure this show, the story, these people the memories, but I think my best way to put it that ties all of that together is this:
I’ve never been more excited to be alive. This experience opened my eyes to all the beauty, joy, sorrow and love life has the potential for. Perhaps growing up,starting to find yourself just does that, but this is where I grew up, and I’m eternally grateful for that gift this home granted me.
Thank you Kimberly Akimbo, I’ll miss you, Off to the next Great Adventure, yeah? ✌🏾🎢🥳
