One of my favorite aspects of this home is the layout of the kitchen, dining and living space.
The kitchen and dining room sit on the same level, while the dining area overlooks the living room below which technically makes this a mezzanine. Behind the dining room is a sliding door that opens to a sunny patio, and the whole space is oriented southwest so it gets sun throughout the day.
It’s a great layout for both everyday living and entertaining.

I wouldn’t call myself a design expert. Not even close.
But I am deeply curious, and I spend a lot of time inside homes, my own, my clients’, and many I get to experience for a moment. Including a few I aspire to one day postmark our Christmas cards from. I’m looking at you, Ross.
Over time, you start to notice patterns. Some spaces feel calm. Some feel awkward. Some just work, even if you can’t immediately explain why.
I think there are elements at play we’re often unaware of because we’re distracted or simply not paying close attention. But when the vibes are good, it’s worth recognizing that real intention was involved.
This year, I joined the American Institute of Architects San Francisco as an Allied member. In practice, I’ll be attending talks, tours, and events, learning alongside architects, designers, and builders, and gaining a deeper understanding of how thoughtful design decisions come together.
Not to become an architect. Just genuinely excited to learn, pay closer attention, and bring that perspective into my work with clients.

Big moment for a great family.
Guided Taylor and Brett into an incredible home that already feels like the perfect fit. They’re excited to join the family-centric Mariner Cove community and have already felt the warm welcome from the neighbors.
