yesterday we had to put baby ginger down. i’ve accepted that she lived such a fulfilling life, around me, my mom & brother, and all of my friends.
riddled with intense dementia and balance issues, it was just her time. but it was so hard to be there with her as she ascended to heaven. i was gifted her by my mom when i was 10 years old. i had just moved from my childhood home. had to sacrifice so many things after the move, and also dealt with a lot of grief, loss & was heavily affected by my parents divorce. but she was my savior and helped me have continuous hope during my tumultuous home life. letting go was so so hard, but i am so thankful that i had my best friend for 17 whole years.
