I got proper grounding.
At work, I’m supposed to come with the tools to carve the sound, to make it feel as intended by those who create it.
But this time, I felt I was the one being mangled, sculpted, shaped, controlled, compressed, reversed, gated, chopped, warped, grounded.
I got proper grounding.
Last weekend i had to reroute my own brain by following a group of artists who go by their own rules. And i think i’m done with my own slow but steady pace.
I want to increase the dynamics. I don’t want to tame the peaks. I’m tired of cutting by the rules. I’m going out of phase. I’m reaching saturation. I’m blowing your membranes. I’m seeking non-linearity. I’ll make myself go null. I’ll run it backwards, as slow as it can go.
I got proper grounding.
