Earlier this year, I got to work on the first-ever collection of every single song lyrics Johnny Cash wrote. The iconic American poet and lyricist—the Man in Black. This truly feels like one of those once-in-a-lifetime projects that I feel lucky to be a part of, and I’m especially grateful for the wonderful team at @voraciousbooks @littlebrown who put in so much love and care at every stage of production to make this chonker happen. If you know a Johnny Cash fan… this is it 🙂‍↕️ + some killed covers cuz why not!

In 2021, @naharris11 released his debut novel “The Sweetness of Water” and we instantly chose it as one of our book club picks. Now we’re thrilled to reveal the cover for his follow-up book, “Amity.” It’s a gripping story about a brother and sister, emancipated from slavery but still searching for true freedom, and their odyssey across the deserts of Mexico to finally reunite, all while escaping a former master still intent on their bondage. Nathan shares, “The cover was instantly my favorite of the choices provided. It’s quite literally breathtaking. The contrast of darkness and light, the vastness of the mountains against the small wagon—all of it is epic and captivating. Endless thanks to @junepark___ , the designer who brought it to life!” Tap the link in our bio to pre-order your copy of “Amity,” available on September 2, 2025.

“East Harlem, 2008. In an instant, a five-story tenement collapses into a fuming hill of rubble, pancaking the cars parked in front and coating the street with a thick layer of ash. As the city’s rescue services and media outlets respond, the surrounding neighborhood descends into chaos. At day’s end, six bodies are recovered, but many of the other tenants are missing. Richard Price, the author of CLOCKERS and a writer on THE WIRE, gives us the razor-sharp anatomy of an ever-changing Harlem. One of the greatest chroniclers of life in urban America, Price creates intertwining portraits of a group of compelling and singular characters whose lives are permanently impacted by a disaster. A riveting work of suspense and social vision by one of our major writers.⁣” —out now via @fsgbooks 🌫️💥 This was such a treat!
