I just realized and probably has always been true, driving is my favorite thing whenever I’m with you. The conversations, the discussions, the fights and the make up after, the sleepy drives, the silent ones, the overly hyper ones, the laughter, the tears, the chaos, the worship, the prayers.. all of those matter to me more than when we actually get to the destination.
Come to think of it, it’s always the drive back home that I find so much contentment in, just watching you tired, peacefully asleep and fully trusting me that I will get you home.

There are really moments that the Lord is tangibly felt. This was one of them for us this year. As far as I remember, for us, it’s always a sunset that feels like a warm hug or pat in the back. Knowing the Lord, for sure He is always just there sometimes it’s us that’s distracted and insensitive to His presence because we want it grand or according to our selfish understanding. For the coming new year I want to be more sensitive to Him more than I’ve ever been, less distracted. I wouldn’t be where I am if it wasn’t for Him. He deserves the best portion of us. He has healed my heart and he will continue to do so, I know. He is the best gift that I can ask for. Happy birthday my Lord and Saviour, thank you.
