I had the great opportunity to be part of something new, a Deaf musical, and my role was the Butcher. I LOVED THAT ROLE!!! I really want to do it again. I had so much fun leading the audience to sign with me and do ABC signing with the music, something I would’ve never expected I could do!

Last night, Glass Cage won Best Narrative Short Film at the @theDeafFilmFestival in Austin, TX — and I’m still processing it.
This one meant a lot to me. I had to learn how to really trust my instincts as a director — to push for more, to dig deeper with my collaborators, and to believe that clarity and power come from vision, not volume.
