I’m wearing both shades of red without any lipliner or makeup. This is to demonstrate which works best and gives me the most glam. My skin tone is medium with a slightly warmer undertone. Both shades suit me, but I just need to decide which one to wear and when.
MAC Ruby Woo has really made my skin look better! The shade is a cool red with a hint of blue that balances the warmth on my face, giving me a glowing, even complexion without any makeup. Plus, it makes my brown eyes pop!
However, the formula has a matte finish that feels super dry and doesn’t have enough moisture. It doesn’t glide on the lips unless you mix it with a good lip balm. So, the best way to use this lipstick is with a lip brush.
Ruby Woo is such an iconic shade and I’ve never seen anything quite like it! And its tops the list of the “best reds that I own”.
MAC Russian Red has beautifully complemented my warm undertones, so I’d say it’s a warm-leaning neutral shade of red. It gives my skin a flawless, natural look, adding a touch of sophistication and making it easy to wear. It really suits my skin tone.
The formula is a bit creamier but still matte. It fits snugly on my lips and glides on smoothly, lasting longer than Ruby Woo.
Russian Red is a classic red and comes second on the list of the “best reds that I own”.
So, Ruby Woo has given me a fantastic contrast, while Russian Red has beautifully blended with my warm undertones.
