There’s something about @thetraka that’s hard to explain until you’re there.
Maybe it’s the scale of it all.
The silence before the start.
The sound of hundreds of freewheels rolling through Girona.
The dust hanging in the air for hours.
Or maybe it’s just the feeling that, for a few days, everything revolves around bikes.
Long days behind the camera.
Early alarms, fast edits, moving from one point to another trying not to miss the moment that says everything.
Because that’s what makes events like this special, not only the winners or the numbers, but all the small things happening around them.
The nerves at the start line.
The people completely empty at the finish.
Friends waiting on the side of the road.
Riders getting lost, suffering, laughing, surviving.
Grateful to keep doing this with good people, little sleep and full SD cards.
