I’ve always liked working with my hands. Before cameras, it was construction—framing houses with Crawford Construction in Burbank. These days it’s a different kind of build, but the mindset’s the same. Whether it’s a person or an object, I try to give it a little personality… let it show up like it’s got a story. Just making things.

@sheensdr Thank you Shirin for trusting me to capture these for you… a person, a mood, and light doing what it does best.

Television writer and magician. @andrewzuber Kept this one dark and moody. A few pools of light… and let the shadows do their thing. Writing and magic both rely on misdirection. Felt right to lean into that here. 🎩

Every place has a face. Los Angles just changes its expression with the light.

Forged steel. Honest surfaces. Built to work. Starting a new series exploring portraits of tools, places, and people — objects and environments shaped by use and purpose. Proto forged 150mm adjustable wrench. A study in craftsmanship, texture, and light.

This work is inspired by Luke 23:34, reflecting on the power of Christ’s sacrifice. The figure in shackles represents humanity bound by sin, trapped in its weight and consequences. The blood dripping from above symbolizes Jesus’ shed blood on the cross, the ultimate act of redemption. Where the blood touches the chains, they begin to erode and break, illustrating the freeing power of His sacrifice. It is through Christ’s suffering and death that believers are liberated from the bondage of sin. The contrast of darkness and light reinforces the tension between captivity and freedom. My intention is for viewers to witness both the gravity of human struggle and the transformative hope found in divine grace. Ultimately, the work seeks to honor the profound gift of freedom and restoration offered through faith.
