31 shows in seven days. Thank you to everyone who came out this week, both old friends and new. Part of what makes the Magic Castle special is working for people whose work I admire, from fellow magicians to writers and actors who see my show and lavish me with well-deserved praise afterward (I’m looking at you Jason Segal and Amanda Knox - you guys are my rock and I’m putting you both in my will.)
A massive thank you to Jack Goldfinger for bringing me back, to Rune Carlsen and Billy Debu for sharing the room with me, to the performers and staff at the Magic Castle for making this another wonderful run, and especially to Taylor for the continued love and support. A few months ago I didn’t know if I’d ever be healthy enough to perform again, but it’s thanks to her (and the magic of chemotherapy I guess) that I get to do this.
More shows coming soon! 🪄
Very excited to be starting another run of shows this week @magiccastlehollywood ! I have about nine hours to put an act together. Who wants to loan me their child and a blowtorch? And don’t panic, I’ll return the blowtorch.
My new episode of The Neighborhood airs tonight. It’s our 150th, Anthony Anderson killed it along with the rest of our cast, and it’s extra special to me because we wrote it while I was in treatment and definitely not feeling my best. When I sent in my scenes, our showrunner’s praise was undeniable: “chemo looks good on you!” Listen, I’m not proud of the fact that I had to be on drugs to absolutely knock this one out of the park, but I think it shows my willingness to do whatever it takes to make good TV.
I’m performing tonight but my phone will be just offstage so I can watch along with all of you. The magic of multitasking.

I attended my first sitcom taping when I was in high school, and I immediately fell in love with the format. It became my dream to work on one, and The Neighborhood made that dream come true. The people on this show have championed me as I got engaged, got married, was diagnosed with cancer, beat cancer, and finally started watching Mad Men. What a ride.
Last night we got to celebrate eight amazing seasons. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass showed up to party with us, I had TWO free chicken skewers, Taylor’s phone briefly went missing, and our showrunners and Cedric vowed to stay in TV. Can’t wait to see what we get up to next.
Putting my master’s degree to good use by soliciting applause from strangers. If you’re looking for an entertainer who can do magic tricks while providing insight on international business, stop drilling, you’ve struck oil.

2025 was EVENTFUL.
In the last six months alone, I got married, started work on a fun new show, learned that very same week that Andrew was diagnosed with lymphoma, and then watched him go through chemotherapy for the last three months and come out the other side - remission, baby!
It’s been a whirlwind and I’m not quite sure I’ve really processed everything yet. The days immediately following the diagnosis were the most intense — a myriad of tests to get staged, surgery for the chemo port, a bone marrow biopsy, navigating insurance, informing loved ones, trying to temper concern with reassurances, ping-ponging between wanting to talk about it and not wanting to burden others.
But in time I came to be grateful for so many things. Here comes another list. The care packages, Uber Eats, the vats of homemade matzo ball soup my mom brought over, the texts, the distractions, our cats, the supportive bosses and co-workers, and the team of doctors and nurses who got Andrew through this in record time.
I feel… lucky. I’m not speaking for Andrew because it hasn’t been easy for him by any stretch of the imagination, and remission doesn’t mean everything is gravy again, but I know it also could have been much worse.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you all for being there for us. I’m going to close out this interesting year with more memories from our wedding that I never got around to posting. When times are tough, I turn back to that perfect day.
Happy New Year to all of you!
