Man… Tuesday night was one of those reminders why I fell in love with music in the first place. My boy Geo Ramos aka Tarasco Tropical invited me out so we pulled up to Tone City Vibes at the Woodlawn speakeasy! Man was it a vibe! Raw talent, real energy, no fluff. Just vibes and bars.
There were some solid artists in the building, but I gotta give flowers where they’re due—this cat J-Tello… 🔥Been riding around bumping his music since that night and it’s hitting DIFFERENT.
That boom bap feel… that storytelling… that “say something real” type of music. You can hear life in his tracks—trials, lessons, purpose. That’s the hip-hop we grew up on.
And another one—Mike Brunch… don’t sleep. Bro was snapping too. I’ll tap in more on him soon, but trust me… he’s cut from that same cloth.
