2026 has been such a dreamy lil whirlwind… almost as dreamy as that el pastor we’re posted up with in that last pic 💭
I haven't made a post about my real estate journey, but I think it's important to take a moment to share when you've achieved a goal you set out to do. It's easy to get caught up in the work, thinking about how you haven't done enough yet, focusing on the next thing and forgetting how far you've come. Almost two years ago I dove headfirst into real estate investing with the goal of flipping houses remotely. I wanted a career where I could have the flexibility to travel and surf and work as much or as little as I want. When I first wrote down my goals for this business and lifestyle, I tried to be a specific as possible. I said I wanted to be able to buy and sell houses while on a surf trip and my dream trip at the time was to go to the Mentawai's. A little over two months ago I sold this house, my 14th, from the Mentawai's, and bought my 17th a week earlier from Hawaii.
This post isn't meant to impress you but rather impress upon you, and myself, what can happen when you stay disciplined and take risks to live a life by design. I started by investing everything I had in myself, taking a loan to join a mentorship, and just kept showing up every day. I kept telling myself you only fail when you give up. This business takes a team effort, and I couldn't have done it without investors believing in me and the deals, contractors, and realtors. This house was my biggest project yet and it's fun to see the transformation!

Jackel Hut trip with @hoggobbler and good company. The views from this hut were incredible and we found some fun soft snow. Always refreshing to spend time in these mountains 🙏
How time flies! A year ago today I hopped on board the Starlight express to Seattle with the goal of riding down the coast to the US/Mexico border. I was nervous, the journey was full of unknowns, I didn't have a route planned besides heading south. I hadn't done much remote camping let alone tour on a bike. The distance seemed so far and I was cautious of committing to something I couldn't handle. But once I started I fell in love with the simplicity and freedom of riding and pitching my tent wherever the day brought me. The journey stopped in southern Oaxaca but I'm sure that won't be my last bike trip.
The encouragement and support from friends and family meant and still means a lot to me. I started this trip to challenge and push my comfort zone but also took the opportunity to raise money for something bigger than myself. The ocean holds a special place in my heart and has brought loads of joy to my life so I'm really proud of all the money and support this community has raised for @surfrider . Together we raised over $2,000! I'm going to leave the GoFundMe page open until the end of the week so if you would like to add a donation I'm sure all ocean lovers would appreciate you! Thanks fam ✌🏼
