I am so grateful for the time I got to spend in Thailand. The overwhelming generosity, kindness, and grace I was shown throughout my visit was so profound; Working with children or with elephants was never something I thought I would do, however, this experience pushed me beyond my comfort zone and has made me not only a better leader but a better, more well-rounded person. Thank you God for every opportunity you have bestowed upon me. Thank you to my family for all your love and support. Thank you to NYU Alternative Breaks for giving me another opportunity to lead a service learning trip. Thank you to my site advisors for being a listening ear. Thank you to my Co for your constant support, love you so much R. And thank you to my participants for trusting me to lead you.

This past year has brought me countless amounts of laughter, tears, smiles, joy, and new beginnings. There are truly too many people to tag and this video doesn’t even begin to do justice to all the amazing memories I’ve created but to everyone in this video (and some people not pictured) I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. You’ve made this experience into AKAland worthwhile while and I can’t imagine my life without you all in it. Cheers to one year and forever to go. 💖💚

Wow, I can’t believe I’m 2 whole decades old. You know I was going to say something corny like death to my teenage years but honestly, I am just so grateful to God for all of the blessings, love, and lessons I have learned thus far.
The girl in the picture always believed she could reach the stars and I’m thankful that I still believe I can. Thank you to my family who have always been my biggest support system and have been there for me through everything. Thank you to all the extended family, friends, sisters, peers, and mentors I’ve met along the way.
As I enter into this new decade I’m praying for prosperity, peace, more joy, new beginnings, and of course to stay close to God for Philippians 4:13 says “ I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me”. 💖🦋💫
Happy, happy birthday to my little sister! My built in best friend. The person who stole my birthday and made it twenty times better!!! From the moment we met I knew I would do everything in my power to protect you. I love you now just like I loved you then and I’m so proud of the young lady you’re becoming. It is a privilege too watch and be apart of your growth. Although at times we may butt heads I hope you know that I am always your best friend and I am always going to be here for you! BEST SPRING BREAK EVER!!!! I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to Co-Lead and spearhead a community service/learning trip to Ghana! This was a profound experience that has not only impacted the way I view Africa but also myself and the entire world! I want to say thank you to everyone who has been there, supported me, and made this trip possible. Special thank you’s to God, my mommy, my family, NYU Alternative Breaks, Hiltop Global Group, our amazing travel guide Thelma, my site advisors, my fellow site leader, and the 11 beautiful women who trusted me (the youngest person on the trip) to lead them.
