‼️ Update about our 2026 Lhotse exped.
A week before we were due to leave I was walking in Grenoble, I stopped for a pause, put my hand in a bush and what I thought was just a thorn turned out to be a bite from an Asp Viper.
Although not usually that dangerous, it turns out I'm allergic to their venom and had respiratory failure and anaphyaxic shock. Thanks to Ben and George for sorting out the situation, you guys did amazing. 🙏 @benthegreywolf@shardclimber
So after 5 days in the ICU, anti-venom, lots of IV adrenalin and I was released, my finger however had some necrosis that was surgically removed, the wound has recovered and I have started physio on it to be able to move it again.
