Massive thanks to all the humans (and dog) who came along to Jot last week!
It was an exceptionally sunny evening – the first in Glasgow in over 14 years – and we're honoured you spent it indoors with us.
And it's a good job you did, because if you learned as much as we did from the spectacular Lola of @goodcallstudio , your brains are now too advanced to even need sunshine to enjoy life.
Lola, you are a master of your craft – we appreciate you sharing your wisdom. We know who the fuck Lola from Good Call is.
Big up @forummevents for being so supportive.
See you all next time! 👋
Only a week already?
See you in seven days to learn how to stand out in a sea of sameness with the wonderful Lola of @goodcallstudio 🫶
Missed out on free tickets? We've just added a fresh batch – link in bio 🔗

When everything's starting to look the same, sound the same, and follow the same shortcuts, it's easy to get swept up in that wave of sameness. Suddenly, you don't sound like you anymore – and you're not standing out.
Lola Hoad from @goodcallstudio is here to stop you drowning with her gift of a life jacket (in the form of a talk, workshop and Q&A at the next Jot).
What's in that life jacket, you ask? A deep dive into what it means to stand out in today's saturated culture of sameness, and some simple tools to help you find your way back to a voice that's unmistakably yours.
Limited space, don't miss out!
Very excited to have Lola Hoad from @goodcallstudio hosting the next Jot! Look out for tickets going live next week.

A visual overview of last week's Jot! Included: one wonderful speaker, a fantastic venue, lots of brilliant zines, and many happy faces. Not included: the alarm going off.
Huge thanks to Kaye, Many Studios, and everyone who came along and participated.
Keen to talk at Jot? Let's talk (slide into our DMs).
The theme of our next event!
In a world of multiple screens, low attention spans, and tired Ai scripts, join Kaye Symington, Newspaper Club's Chief Marketing Officer, on September 25 to explore how print can reframe writing.
From discussing the ways print bridges generational divides, to learning how to make the format part of your message, to doing a little bit of easy workshopping – you'll leave with all sorts of tips and tricks to engage your audience through the magic of print.
Tickets are free, always. And would you believe it, they're live now! Link in bio 🎟️
