What a Journey
Like in the world of Oz, sometimes I see our lives as a yellow brick road, on our own paths to greatness. In our case, a 4 year long creative boot camp with short naps in between days β it was brutal. Many of us pushed ourselves to our very limit, resulting in insane "crashouts", delirious tears, and caffinated lock-ins. Yet, without exception, we pulled through. Gulfstream (not the company) has never been more packed with talent, every corner surrounded by examples of innovation, success, and most importantly a piece of us.
In my own yellow brick road, I was blessed. I've met the best, craziest and most "cracked out" friends that made my journey here a whole lot more alive. Sam, Laura, Andrew. I'm struggling to write what ya'll mean to me. It's simply indescribable. The amount of shit each of us had to go through to get here. From IDUS 209, Aether/car class, Life, Victor, and our now finished Capstone.
Sam, you redefined the Florida man spirit for me bro, I'm glad to have a brother like you to keeping pushing with. Thanks for being there everystep of the way. The slam train never stops.
Laura, one regret I have is not meeting much sooner, you quickly became my yapping buddy. I am beyond greatful to have found a friend who has the same humor and design wavelength as me. You and juhi will always be my poochinas. Keep on going pwincess, I see greater things ahead for you.
Andrew... dont let this man deceive you, he's a big teddy bear inside. Since day 1 in 209, you've always kept us in our toes, giving us the fuel to push as hard as we can and holding us accountable. Let's work on the hugs tho, alright?
There's a list of people I want to mention like Will, Juhi, Mason, Lilli, Charlie,... the list is way too long but you know who you are. It was my upmost pleasure to have been in this journey with ya'll, to watch each other grow into what stellar designers we are today. Joshi will always be ur no.1 fan, no matter where we are around the world. Congratulations to all you Troublemakers.
Lastly, To my mom, brother, and grandma. I never say it enough, and will never be able toβ I love you, and thank you for everything. Till then Savannah β
