@jorrybell ) spoke with Vogue Philippines about the play and purpose she finds through acting.
“Kapag umaarte ako, para akong bumabalik sa sarili ko [When I act, it’s like I’m returning to myself],” she shared. “Nagiging intellectual kapag sa preparation [My approach is intellectual when I prepare], but when I’m doing the acting, or doing the work, para lang akong bata [I feel like a child again].”

![It had been five years since #JorrybellAgoto (@jorrybell) first played Isabel in Rafael Manuel's short film #Filipiñana when she reprised the role for its full-length feature.She's lived many lives in that time: selling condominiums, working as a copywriter, and at some point, even writing for the TV Series 'Batang Quiapo.' In 2023, Agoto had her breakout year at Cinemalaya, and, in 2024, won Best Actress at the Tokyo Film Festival for Cross My Heart and Hope To Die.Now, she finds herself on the brink of falling feet first into the world of the silver screen, with Filipiñana winning the World Cinema Dramatic Special Jury Award for Creative Vision at #Sundance in January and screening at the 2026 #Berlinale.
