New project! UDS website is a digital platform designed to express the depth and nuance of Ulysses de Santi’s professional practice. The site is conceived as a curated, immersive experience where projects unfold as narratives, allowing the imagery to lead while the interface provides structure and remains minimal. One of the biggest challenges in designing a portfolio site is creating a space that enhances the work without overshadowing it.
For Joyce’s site, we focused on clarity and breathing room, using negative space and thoughtful scaling to create hierarchy and guide focus. The design embraces contrast (like the identity), allowing each project, from campaigns and animations to title sequences and personal work, to hold its own while maintaining a nice flow.
The goal was to craft a site that feels immersive yet effortless, balancing impact with precision to showcase the depth of Joyce’s practice without feeling overly animated.
Developed by the wonderful @jorgecapillo .
