10 years ago. A different phase of life.A different version of me. Competition was not just something I did.It shaped almost everything around me. The training. The mindset. The routines. The pressure. The obsession with improving. The emotional highs and lows of winning and losing. Looking at this picture today, I honestly feel grateful for that chapter. And I also feel grateful that I was able to close parts of it without regrets. People who truly love competition understand this feeling. Competing is addictive. Not only because of victory.Even the suffering becomes addictive. The preparation. The nerves. The intensity. The feeling of testing yourself against another person when there is nowhere to hide. My heart still loves it. And because I love it so much, I have to be careful with it. At some point I realized that if I allowed that side of me to fully take over forever, it would start making everything else around me foggy. Business.Leadership.Fatherhood.Personal growth.Peace of mind. The intention behind training changes when competition enters your heart again. And if you are not aware of it, your ego slowly starts pulling you back into a cycle you already lived. That does not mean I will never compete again. I probably will. But maturity is also understanding timing.Understanding seasons.Understanding when to go all in and when to step back. Some chapters are not meant to be erased. They are meant to be respected. 📸 Victor Cantu

Over celebrating average results can hurt more than it helps When everything is treated like a big win, students lose the ability to recognize what real accomplishment actually is The standard quietly drops And when a real challenge shows up, the possibility of failure feels much heavier than it should Not because they are not capable But because they were conditioned to expect success without the same level of effort Now the way back becomes harder Because they need to relearn what real effort, discipline, and progress actually look like This is where many quit competing Not at the beginning But right after early success Because the next level demands something they were never properly prepared for Less praise More honesty More structure Higher standards As instructors and teachers, our responsibility is not just to motivate It is to calibrate reality To show the difference between good and great To make struggle part of the process To build people who can face challenges without losing direction That is how you build real confidence And that is what creates athletes who last

Escolha o preço a pagar. O sonho é teu. A vida é tua.
