Drawn together in 2024 over a common love of doom metal, Pat and Rob started out by dredging through the archives of classic heavy metal to glean the filthiest nuggets of inspiration from the past masters of the genre. In 2025 the lineup congealed into its final form with the addition of Adam and John, and the Sludgeburg sound was born - channeling the raw energy of the enthalpic sludge pervading the universe into a focused and fuzzed out onslaught of riffs that leave room to contemplate the constellations while wallowing in the ooze.
Having brought sludge metal to the iconic Rockyview Hotel in Calgary, and a successful minitour of Central Alberta in 2025, Sludgeburg gears for a promising 2026 working on a followup to their debut demo and making plans to bring more live shows to the masses of sludge.
Sludge is life - and life is goo...
Rhythm Room volume 3 will take place Saturday, February 28th, 2026 in Kelowna, BC.

This is NOT a flyer / poster / promotional item aimed at attracting dance music enthusiasts to a dance music function, hence the algorithm shall NOT suppress it in favour of something flashier / human fleshier. And even if it was, it would certainly not be promoting an evening of finely curated music mixed by three classy gentlemen at the interior’s hottest club.
More of the amazing artists that will be playing at Lillyfest! We're stoked to once again work with The Jazz Implication, and two new friends! Jorb.Co will be manning the decks during changeovers, and ending the night with a full set. The Afu Trio will be making an appearance too, and I guarantee that they will blow your minds.
