The sheer talent involved in making this album is overwhelming! On top of the amazing artists and musicians involved in the original edition, there are 4 new songs from new artists, new cover art by absolute legendĀ @mishkawestell featuring 4 beautiful interchangeable sleeves ā so you can choose what you want your native texan spirit animal to be. Expanded and beautifully written liner notes byĀ @tscottray and the design of the album by @the_harrisons is the absolute tops! Itās not everyday you get to have your photos side by side in a collage with a hall of famer like @bencmasters

One of the first things we realized when @beckyjm and I were mapping out the content for the Accessible Beauty Zine with @walkerlukens was how many ads are actually in a real magazineā¦ itās like half the content!š« So in an effort to make this absurdist beauty magazine feel as authentic as possible, we knew weād have to make a ton of silly ads. We started with some local businesses we all know & love, thinking hopefully they would not sue us for including them without asking š ā¦it helps (I think?) that Walker and I were working with both brands already on the Texas Wild recordā¦ but sorry in advance @rambleraustin and @tecovas if you donāt love thisā¦ but I have a feeling yāall will š
These ads ended up being some of my favorite ones we made during the whole project. The @rambleraustin ad was an easy one to conceptualize - obviously we had to be pouring a can of water on to Walkerās half naked body.
The @tecovas spread was a bit more of a bonus that blossomed into an ad. During one of our shoots at @studiosfischer Walker was lounging on a bed/changing clothes between setups and the sun was setting just right through the windows. I figured that we could somehow use this image of him, sun-drenched in his undies, putting on boots becauseā¦well, itās funny?
