Back from cruising the Mediterranean ⛴️ for 7 days 😎 (for work 🎥) I’d never been on a cruise before . So first time for everything & I’m glad I did it before I turn 70 😊😎
Day 1 - ✈️ Fly From London to Limasol Larnacar 🇨🇾 Cyprus
Day 1 - set sail at night
Day 2 - at Sea 🌊
Day 3 - Chania Crete 🇬🇷
Day 4- Athens too busy working didn’t get off the ship 🛳️ 🇬🇷 but touched the soil (concrete)
Day 5 - Kusadasi (Ephesus) 🇹🇷 - busy working didn’t come off the boat would have loved to go to Ephesus (the Ephesian Church . Oh glory ! 😂)
Day 8 - Mykonos Town 🇬🇷 and places filming Had a nice big lunch Gyros and fries got my t shirt which I always try too get at least 1 👌
Day 7 - Rhodes 🇬🇷 - filmed 🎥 At Kathara beach 🏖️ and then back to the ship 🛳️ . To film Some more
Day 8 - Return to Limasol and fly ✈️home
Filming stuff 🎥
Filming on Sony A7s , and a Ronin 4D mainly . We also used Lomography Lenses so that was another a good 1st experience real trippy dreamy in camera 🎥 effects 😍 .
I’ll try and cut it short coz you know me once I get started I can write a book📖 😜🫣.
A Lovely 💕crew it’s been my best experience traveling for work shoot . Had some good little chats with film 🎥 crew & Ship 🛳️ crew .
Buffet on the ship almost every day . Some days we went “fancy” (on the ship ) . The. ice cream 🍦 🍨 was pretty good even though I discovered it late 😊 .
Lots more happened but you get the gist . Grateful to get the invite as it’s extremely rare to work abroad for me . Big Thanks 🙏 To @dopdaniel_ 😎.

We managed to see some friends and do some things we’ve never done before .
I wanted to find some less touristy things to do in Paris but I didn’t get any suggestions so another time .
I hadn’t planned on travelling ✈️much this year ( this will likely be the only trip of 2025 )
Paris🇫🇷 has been on my heart ❤️ to do for a while .I’ve been multiple times but not many dedicated trips, more like passing through .
Paris is a bit like the friend that lives so close ,you say you can see them anytime but you never do make the time .🕰️
Most of the main tourist stuff we’ve done before . The new additions were Royal Palace ,Notre Dame , Lafayette ( everytime I see the name Lafayette I think of The ‘Guns and ships ‘ song 🎵 from Hamilton 😀’
1st time ever riding a Lime🍋🟩 Bike 🚲 in Paris . yes we have them in London but I ride my own 🚲 bike . It’s very expensive but it’s good fun. Paris streets are crazy but I think it was a highlight. Another highlight was speaking a line of french other than the obvious words (Bonjour Ca va , Ca va bien , Merci ) etc . : as-tu un fer à repasser
& the person understood and spoke back in french 🇫🇷 it was like magic ✨ lol 😂🙈
It’s a big deal for me cause i’m terrible at languages , pronunciation & was kicked out of French 🇫🇷 at school 🏫 as they said I had no chance of passing 😀🙈.I went to watch a French movie to see what I could understand, maybe 0.1 percent of language but cinema 🎞️ is universal 🙂.
I didn’t manage to eat frog legs 🐸 or snails 🐌They’re expensive too & I didn’t get that freshly made, warm 🥐 croissant I was after. I did manage to get 2 Pain au Chocolats just before closing at a boulangerie .It’s all good though it gives me things to look forward to for next time. Lord Willing .

The 1st boys trip ✈️ we ever did was to Barcelona🇪🇸 in 2015. There were 6 of us .
2nd Boys trip was to Porto Portugal 🇵🇹 in 2016 that number went down to 5 .
Life gets busy as you know . So we never managed to get anything together for several years .
This trip we only managed to just about push it through . 1 final trip before life starts changing drastically for all of us .
Our Last Hurrah !
There should have been 4 of us this time but our good friend Josh
went on to greener pastures at the last minute.
We really missed him but he was with us in spirit ❤️ .
Honourable mentions to David & Joe our former compadres .
We did Many activities as you can see above ⬆️ . We didn’t take the cameras on rafting playing it safe from water Damage (they told us to leave everything ) .
It would have been nice to soak up more history ,culture & Language ( I think we would have got that if we did a walking tour instead of bus tour but still a good trip 👌

The night before the last day. My friends decided we should go & catch the sunrise before I jumped on my flight ✈ . ⠀

They had to leave their house at 4am so we could get there in time . ⠀

My last full day in South Africa 🇿🇦 I went to Robben island . book days early (always sold out ) ⠀

It’s interesting to Hear the history of the place beyond Mandela’s 20 odd years there . one of the X prisoners gave us a tour you can just hear the pain in his voice . ⠀
⠀ I went to kirstenbosch botanical gardens Really beautiful 😍 ( I’ll just tac on a couple snaps from there at the end ) ⠀

I also met up with some family and some friends , they really spoiled me with food 🙏❤. I also got to see some of the regular parts of Cape Town Lavender hill area etc etc and more on the unofficial neighbourhood tour 😎👊⠀
