A volunteer day with more than 500 people already signed up is a signal of the excitement and passion for helping our city show up strong this Summer when we welcome the World Cup.
And the soft opening of our next restaurant @bottlerocketatl is the clear reinforcement that local businesses and the communities around them are betting on downtown for the long-term. We are so thrilled for Josh and Bonny and their team, and can’t wait to amplify their invitation to you as soon as they are ready. 🍣🍻
These two highlights are only part of what’s packed into this 2-minute update from our CEO, @jonnybird .
➡️ Don’t forget! This video is just a quick overview of what’s happening in South Downtown. Jon’s full update goes out by email, so make sure you’re on the list by signing up through our bio link.
A 1921 Georgia Power street car found its way back home to South Downtown, there are new 20-foot sidewalks on Broad Street, an open container pilot is coming to our neighborhood starting April 15th, we hosted an energizing gathering of our tenants, and we are doubling down on our focus to ensure Five Points MARTA is safe and clean.
There’s a lot packed into this 2-minute update from our CEO, @jonnybird - but it’s just a taste of what happened in the month of March.
Spring is officially here and Atlanta is coming alive!

We are officially less than 100 days until the World Cup begins. 💫
We are focused, determined and excited to help Atlanta show up strong this Summer. But it doesn’t start (or end) in June – it’s already started and will go well beyond World Cup.
We are prioritizing pedestrian safety as new streets, sidewalks and MARTA’s A-Line comes to life in the neighborhood.
We celebrated the re-opening of The Junction, formerly Subs and Salads, as their space received an Invest Atlanta SBIG grant that helped them get a fresh look. These grants have helped many small businesses throughout downtown and we are so grateful to @cityofatlantaga and @invest_atlanta for their support.
We also shared the Brutal Economics of Broad Street for a deeper dive into the effort, and dollars, behind preservation efforts. 🧱
Looking ahead… this Saturday @smorgasburgatlanta is back in South Downtown from 11a - 7p! Join us for the perfect pre-game hang before Atlanta United’s first home match of the season.
You can hear about these stories from CEO @jonnybird in this quick video.

Historic South Broad Street in downtown Atlanta is in the middle of a full renovation. New blog post on the economics of the revitalization and why most developers are not incentivized to restore old buildings but to tear down and rebuild. Full post in the bio.
The moment is now, Atlanta! We can officially say this year will be one talked about for decades to come. A big year ahead, and a big month to kick things off!
A very focused meeting about safety and security around Five Points MARTA occurred between MARTA leadership, MARTA PD, Atlanta PD, ADID and neighboring property owners to ensure our busiest train station is a top priority.
We also welcomed two new neighbors to South Downtown - @terminushub and @estrellitafilipino ! Scaffolding is coming down at 85 Peachtree as the building prepares to open for leasing this Spring and hard hat tours have launched. You won’t want to miss a tour through the original Rich’s Department store at 82 Peachtree. 👷

AdPipe just raised $12M!
This next stage of growth is fueled by industry experts led by LGVP, with participation from Emery Wells, @AtlantaVentures , Tom Noonan, Engage VC, and leading voices in SaaS, enterprise AI, and video innovation across Atlanta and the country.
Last week, we announced that AdPipe moved to @sodowntownatl . This week that move means so much more. AdPipe will be hiring dozens of employees over the next 12 months and cementing the fact that South Downtown is the land opportunity for ambitious creatives and creators!
The enterprise video market will hit $48B by 2030, yet most captured footage sits unused. AdPipe unlocks this dormant value by turning video libraries into brand-compliant, personalized content pipelines.
Across industries, customers are seeing measurable results:
• Cost per video down 88%
• Output up 10x
• Video utilization up 80%+
• Conversions increased by up to 600%
Proud and inspired by @logdoglevy and @sammybsong started out selling packaged gifs to businesses 4 years ago. Today, they are building and scaling an industry-defining software company!
The air may have cooled down in South Downtown (for now), but the progress and anticipation is still heating up! ☀️
We’ve been building meaningful relationships with those who are working day and night to keep our city safe. We’ve been working diligently on bringing our first (and super costly) residential building online at 85 Peachtree. We’ve been celebrating big wins for connectivity between South Downtown and Centennial Yards. We’ve been signing LOIs and leases to continue bringing more of the best local people and concepts to the neighborhood.

Chief Schierbaum, Major Hunt, Captain Welch, Sargent Reese, and Officer Blue are on it. Chief Schierbaum provided us very specific actions to ensure our downtown is safe. We are working on those actions right now. These leaders have dedicated their life and career to Atlanta and Atlantan’s safety.
