‘The Tingbjerg Experiment’, our collaborative score to Louise Detlefsen’s documentary about an architectural dream and its societal reality, is out on all digital platforms today.
.
Musically we kept with that aforementioned dream, with the childlike joy of creation as it were, in writing the soundtrack. We messed around like kids with our toys, little keyboards and big synthesizers, recorded seemingly random bits of saxophone, flute and harp, added a pinch of 60s sci-fi, and stuck the whole thing together with bits of duct tape, whether it made sonic sense or not. Just as long as it did fit in our juvinile imagination.
.
A few thank-you’s are needed - first, to Louise and her producer Malene Pedersen, for inviting us to bring our chaotic sound to your beautiful film. To Anders Banke, for not running out of breath while playing all those amazing woodwinds. To Margaret Hermant, for being a sport and recording harp to the roughest possible of sketches and still doing a great job. To Fabien Leseure, for recording the harp and giving us crap for said rough sketch. To Miklos and the Budapest Art Orchestra, for making that little bit of added strings and horns seem especially magical. To August Wanngren, for mastering the album, and bringing order to the chaos we gave you. To Anders Ladegaard for a beautiful cover, and for being so patient with us. And last but not least to little Augusta, Jonas’ daughter, for painting those gorgeous colors, visualising the music magically.
.
A link to the album via your streamer of choice can be found in the bio. We hope you’ll have as much fun listening as we did making this album. End of speech.

‘The Tingbjerg Experiment’, written and recorded together with @jonascolstrup for @louisedetlefsen ’s documentary of the same name, that premiered at CPH:DOX this year, will be out this Friday, May 15th.
.
Making this music felt like the best parts of childhood, like 2 school friends creating make-belief stories with their toys in the sandbox, without any awareness of the grown-up world around them.
.
To illustrate this joy further, the wonderful cover art was created by Jonas’ daughter Augusta, with the design in the expert hands of @aladegaard
.
A pre-order link to this joyous bit of chaos can be found in the bio. See you Friday.
