It's been a long time. Coming back around again.

Wedding part deux: In 2025 I went and got married to this Very Fuzzy Human who makes my life MAGNITUDES better and fills it with adventure and bears and also lots of terrible dad jokes. After esloping in Stowe, VT (see previous post!) we had a Big Honkin Family Wedding on an overlook in Red River Gorge this past Fall. This post is about the part in Red River Gorge, the first place @fuzzheadsfuzz and I ever went on vacation together. For Friday of wedding weekend, we threw a Trick or Treat Halloween Party with stations all along the lodge. On Saturday I was primped and primed for the ceremony by a true dream team: @bridefaceotr - Hair and Makeup, more specifically: @stylistnicolehogle - Hair @brittanywiththebrushes -Makeup While Alex’s dad and getting ready crew prepped him to ride his bike down the hill to the overlook to the muppets theme song in a lilac suit. Because. On-Brand. He had a full floral lapel by Sarah from @belairflorist who also did ALLLLL the flowers including my absolutely bananas bouquet. I said color, please! And then there was color. Hidden in the forest in an absolutely unreal gown by @teutamatoshi , all the kiddos were sent to come find me. I am incredibly lucky to have led a life where I get to be “the village” (“it takes a village” etc) to so many incredible kids. There is not a child I’ve auntied or babysat or nannied or taught who has not changed my life. Do I have favorites? I’m not telling. That would be rude. But it was one of the joys of my life to hear @overtherhinemusic and see a sea of faces coming to find me and bring me down the path to the aisle. Another one of those moments where @fuzzheadsfuzz and @bourboncityevents hung with my weird idea that absolutely could have fallen flat. Instead it was a dream come true. Of course, we have to again give love to @studioalexanderr and @mbreslow for catching the 📸📸📸 and @niallconnollymusic , @philterfeed , @ewharrismusic @amillioncreatures , @jimmccgman , @zoepeteford and some people not on insta for making all the music magic and oh no I’m running out of characters in this caption loveyoubye

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to make this post. In 2025 I went and married this Bananas Cool Human that makes my life MAGNITUDES better and fills it with adventure. We eloped in Stowe, VT and then had a Big Honkin Family wedding in Red Rover Gorge this past Fall. This post is about how we caught first chair to eslope at the top of a run called Nosedive (because SYMBOLISM, PEOPLE), smooched, and rode down (bouquet in hand by the incomparable @reneebythesea ) followed by a Yeti with an Insta360 camera (aka our friend Stu who is half the reason I can snowboard at all), a videographer from KY (aka @studioalexanderr - our fellow knight in the fight for Gondor) and a still camera wielded by the one and only @mbreslow (my climbing buddy a million years ago who came back into my life when Alex and I got together. What?!?!), and then finished through an arch of ski poles with ribbons. Big thanks to the snow for showing up and making the day magical as well as personal stunt driver @brezstunts , personal magician angel @eliserezendes , outfit test crew @mizell__melissa , Bouquet wrangler and bathroom guardian @abluc76 , Alex-stress-management-when-Jo-was-stuck-in-traffic @mandy_gram and @dwander39 , and FaceTime and lodge-scene maestro @alonelypixel and Nate. Also Mel had the other end of the FaceTime, but I don’t have her @ We wouldn’t have had our phenomenal officiant @mitzimcinnis if it weren’t for @ur_grandmas_casserole and @bummmer_dude who have held it down as our local gear-nerds and nerd-nerds in Stowe for the past 5 years (you simply must find D&D friends everywhere you go who will clue you in if there is a local disco night at the ice skating rink in the next town over). Hair by Jen at @salonsalonvt who got up at the most insane time to do the hair of a woman who was about to sit on a ski lift in wind and snow. Thank you to @bourboncityevents who had joined as our wedding planner and jumped in with both feet from afar. And to the team at @stowemt who made this possible including the aforementioned Renee Mitchell and Kirsten Zimmerman as well as the whole ops crew. Post song choice by early 2000s lift lines.
