Our good friend and regular collaborator
@kurtis_so (also the composer for this film!) reminded us recently to try at least one new thing every project. We believe our tripod rack mount (results above) is a good example of our efforts to make something unique for this film. Like all things of this nature it took more work, and a couple of late nights to make it happen, but we canât recall a time when our attempts to capture something unique didnât pay off. In reflection, we believe we created a better film because of it. It was a unique solution to the tricky task of filming oneself. It also simplified the editing process as it provided opportunities to jump cut to any environment/time at the exact same angle. We were honoured to talk about this hack, and much more from the film, in a Q&A with
@bikepackingcom .
@foundinthemountains also talked about this in detail on
@theradavist . For a last-minute idea, we believe it worked pretty darn well!
