NEW SHOW: March 12th 2027 @smote666 at @dingwallscamden With Smote's show at 100 Club tomorrow sold out way in advance we're happy to announce their next London show Tickets on sale now via Dice SMOTE, once a solo endeavor by Daniel Foggin, now expanded to a fuller ensemble blends traditional instrumentation — creaking strings, funeral drums, somber winds — with thunderous synth work and desolate guitar to craft drone and dirge. A full-scale psychic voyage into the ether and a drone-and-repetition-fuelled series of incantations that takes simple, primal ingredients and utilises them for the purposes of aural sorcery, summoning spectres and revelations aplenty in its wake.

As announced last month, J. Zunz, the musical project by Mexican artist Lorena Quintanilla has revealed a new album on Rocket – a mesmerising 9 track LP called ‘Obsidiana’. Following on from the visceral repetition of ‘Silvia’ we are happy to reveal the second single from the album, the electronic noisegaze pop of ‘Osiris’ – listen now via your favourite streaming channel. - ‘Obsidiana’ which is released on 29 May is td to 300 copies on clear vinyl and spot gloss sleeve, is available to preorder from your favourite record shop, or via rocketrecordings.com - ‘Obsidiana’, the third J. Zunz album on Rocket – manages to be both more aggressive and more gentle than anything she’s previously created either on her own or in her work in Lorelle Meets The Obsolete. A study in balance, its emotional charge remains strong and intact whether on the eerie, almost Radiophonic ambience of ‘Imago’, the dancefloor-adjacent, Chris & Cosey-esque ‘Osiris’ or the abrasive, industrial-strength confrontation of ‘Silvia’. On ‘Final’ meanwhile, Lorena is joined by her only main collaborator this time around, Freddie Murphy (Father Murphy) whose trumpet and synth abstractions offer further vivid colour to ‘Obsidiana’s spectrum.

+++SOLD OUT+++ We have a very uber LTD pressing of Goat’s latest S/T album for sale. The LTD edition of 140 copies on Fluro Pink vinyl is housed in a very special uniquely designed sleeve by John O’Carroll and has been hand screen printed by artist @greasytrucker with assistance by John too. Why the limited number you ask, just simply put, we have 3 colour screens on both the front and back of the sleeve and; it was a lot of work. Rocket’s old friend Greasy Trucker who’s screen print work includes years creating posters and prints with Mackie Osbourne for the US band ‘Melvins’ was available in between touring with the band so hence we jumped on the chance to collaborate with him. Printed at the great @printparadiso on East Street near Rocket HQ in Bedminster Bristol, we hired their equipment for several days (they run classes to introduce anyone who doesn’t have experience too) and proceeded to graft away in a very repetitive state to get that handmade sleeve finish - important in a world dominated by AI. Each copy also comes with a hand numbered, double sided A4 insert. +++Strictly one copy each+++ Shipping from next week. Buy now from rocketrecordings.com
