A quick tour through “Sum of Its Parts,” that closed a month from today at
@childsgallery in Boston. The series combines inspiration from Baroque still-life painting and the fragmented statues of antiquity. By presenting body parts as objects—arranged, isolated, or separated across canvases—I’m exploring how fragments can suggest presence, history, and identity.
.
The show takes its name from Aristotle’s line, “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts,” a reminder that no single piece or snapshot can capture a life in full.
.
The show was on view November 21, 2025–January 18, 2026. Thank you to everyone who has visited and supported the work! And to the AMAZING team at Childs Gallery for bringing the show to life. Link in bio for more information on the show and details of the art.
