The family of John Davis regretfully wish to announce his death on Wednesday 13th September, aged just 63.
A working class Bowie addict who didn't mind wearing makeup in Ilford town centre, John got to meet his musical heroes through sheer hard work rising to the top of the Mastering game.
He would do anything for us kids; fighting for our right to play football in his pristine but sadly communal garden or relentlessly plugging our teenage bands demos that he lovingly produced. Escorting us to our first magical gigs in London before rising at 7am to join the convoy to our football matches in the pissing rain of Borehamwood.
John would often come home late but gleefully press the sound of the summer into our tiny hands six months before anyone else had got a chance to hear it…punching the air as we went ballistic sliding in the kitchen.
He fought to the last to stay with us, defying expectations for his loving sons Barney, Felix, Jay, Eden and Skyler and brother Chris.
John was supportive to anyone he met in the industry and a champion of new artists. If you would like to share any stories or photos please leave below.
Rest up pops we love you forever!
