Next Monday (March 16th) the Bearded Ladies are kicking off our solidarity sing-along series at Broad Street Love! You are invited to join us before the show for Barb’s Bling BYOB Happy Hour, a chance to peruse & purchase a vast collection of unique costume jewelry which has been generously bequeathed to the Beards. Got questions? We’ve got answers!
💍 What time does Barb’s Bling BYOB Happy Hour Start?
6:30 PM! The sing-along will begin at 7:30 PM and (although the early birds will get first pick of this iconic collection) jewelry will be available for purchase throughout the entire event.
💍 How much does it cost?
For general audiences: you will be able purchase a paper bag to fill with jewelry for a suggested donation (we suggest anywhere from $25 to 1 million dollars). The proceeds will be split between the Bearded Ladies Cabaret and our hosts Broad Street Love (who provide services to individuals experiencing deep poverty in Philadelphia).
For nightlife & drag performers: At the request of Barb & her family, jewelry is available to our community for FREE! So grab your chosen family & come through!
💍 What payment methods do you accept?
We’ll have QR codes for PayPal, Venmo & Apple Pay. We are also happy to accept cash donations, but will not be able to provide change! Thanks for understanding!
💍 Is this event really BYOB?
Yes! Whether you’re joining us for Barb’s Bling at 6:30 or the sing-along at 7:30 (or fashionably late as cabaret so often is), you are welcome & encouraged to bring a beverage of your choice.
💍 Who is Barb?
We’re so glad you asked! Barb had a TON of jewelry and loved to dress for herself, showing up unapologetically. Always sparkling, she marched through 86 years of life as a true original. We are proud to host this event with Barb’s family, who will share Barb’s story and legacy in dazzling detail on March 16th.
