Ahead of their upcoming shows, @johnfeldy took us through every collaboration on @goldfingermusic ’s latest album, Nine Lives — from pulling an old song with @blink182 ’s @markhoppus out of the vault to connecting with new-gen stars like @ianndior .
California-based collective sullvn, featuring renowned musicians from other major acts, has teamed up with Dicky Barrett, formerly of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, on vocals, and Goldfinger’s John “Feldy” Feldmann on production duties for new song “Raise a Glass.” 🍺
Originally a retro-soul roots band, sullvn has transformed into a blend of ska, pop-punk and old-school soul, sparked by their high-energy cover of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones’ ‘90s ska anthem “The Impression That I Get.” Crowds not only loved it, but so did Barrett, who soon befriended Robert “Sully” Sullivan, who co-wrote this song with Barrett.
sullvn also features No Doubt’s Gabrial McNair and Stephen Bradley on trombone and trumpet, respectively, with bassist James East (Eric Clapton, Elton John, Michael Jackson) and guitarist Brian Jordan (James Brown, Dave Matthews, The Allman Brothers Band).
