But while I’m working on all the new paintings for that, been dedicating some time to new works on paper, prints, and some artist book projects I’ve wanted to make for years. - Along with a slightly insane exhibition schedeule, we need to raise a small mountain of funds to finish construction on the new studio, it’s been quite the overwhelming undertaking, and like every construction project, ends up costing way more than you plan for… so we’ve been working on some new editions, and new works in new formats, that are a little easier to attain than the larger works on canvas. This project is just coming from the studio here in New york, 100% is going to the bricks and mortar and bills so I can continue to keep making and expanding this work, in a permanent space. - We’re estimating on shipping, but setting at 9$ for anywhere in the continental US and 18$ for Europe. Some photographs by incredible film director @elvira_lind_ from the opening of my most recent exhibition, PALE GOLD @v1gallery in Denmark last month. The new gallery they've built is so incredible, the space, the proportions, its a massive expansion that also feels totally appropriate, and proportional. I can't wait to start constructing another complex exhibition of ideas, to work in that specific room. And a great photo of @elgeye who along with @mikkelg75 , the heads of @v1gallery , have truly believed in what i was doing without fail, since we started working together in 2008. - I have been holed up in the studio working on a whole bunch of new stuff, some prints, some collaborations, and some new publications that i look forward to finally start to showing everyone. new paintings. And a bunch of new works in some mew mediums. stay tuned... - lots of irons in the fire and just starting the main work on new exhibitions coming up January 2025 in Hong Kong @pearllamgalleries , and i think london with @jdmalatgallery and then @galeriahilariogalguera new location in madrid a following that. I'm Honored to have this painting from 2015, in this fantastic show Titled DOMINION, curated by Connor Hirst, currently on exhibition @newportstreetgallery_london till September of this year. And in good company, next to some of my absolute favorite works that Warhol did, the electric chair series, and a sculpture by Sarah Lucas, I been a big fan of her work for prob 20 years now. - And in the second install shot, two smaller works of mine next to an incredible painting by Richard Prince. Loved his work as well. A small skull painting FROM 2010, fairly certain that painting is called 'MY KIND OF PEOPLE' and one of the Easy Riders Cover paintings/manipulations, from I think 2014. I wanna do more of these. The series from back then were never seen much. Repost with install below: - ::Pale Gold, a solo exhibition by John Copeland, is coming to an end — however, if you haven’t visited the exhibition yet, there’s still time. We’re open today Friday May 31 until 17.00 and tomorrow Saturday between 11.00-15.00. In Pale Gold Copeland expands the parameters of the outlaw to include artists, writers, bikers and punks. A similar cast of characters has appeared often throughout his practice. Together, they form a band of outsiders that choose their own paths, shaping themselves contrary to the form established order expects. John Copeland’s new body of work is a dialogue that channels the energy of Corbucci and Leone’s radical subversion of one’s self-image and self-understanding.
