Da iawn pobl o Gymru a llongyfarchiadau enfawr i @rhunapiorwerth Big love to the people of Scotland too 💕 A beautiful day to see the collapse of the Labour party yng Nghymru, never thought I'd see the day, and its wonderful to see the parliaments of the Celtic nations return governments who want to see independence 🥹🥹🥹🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🤝🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Lets hope this is the high watermark for reform, but we all know that under tepid neoliberalism and a world with a moral compass down the drain, fascism thrives. Deffrwch y bastads, mae Cymru'n marw, wake the bastards up, Cymru is dying. I've been putting off writing this for sometime because I wasn't sure if I had anything to add that hasn't already been said, but I'll just say it anyway. The senedd elections on the 7th are unlike any we have had before. It is a fight for the soul of Cymru and its future. This is existential. The rise of Reform is equal parts terrifying and farcical and the logical outcome of unregulated capitalism and austerity, a lethal combination. That, and a politics devoid of politics where all major parties agree that the only role of the contemporary state is to remove the hard fought gains of the labour movement, your social safety nets, your right to protest, the privatisation of everything, the erosion of social democracy. I'm looking at you neoliberalism. Nigel Farage's illegally funded crypto pump and dump LLC (its not a party) will usher in the most corrupt and grim English version of Trumpism its possible to imagine. Trumpism is fascism minus mysticism, its fascism plus let's make the bag bro and make it quick. It won't kidnap foreign leaders in the middle of the night, England has no power in the world, but it will kidnap your neighbour at 2am and deport her. In Wales, which they have contempt for and do not understand, they will attack our senedd, our seat of democracy, any notions of nationhood, our language, our indigenous culture. They hate our language, they hate our difference, and want to homogenise us into Britishness, and for British see English. We cannot let Cymru die, or even be stillborn. We need to kick the scum back over the Severn Bridge. I take hope and solace in what the people of Caerffili did in electing Linsey Whittle and proved the Anglo media wrong, let's hope it can be replicated across our beautiful country. And let's also hope that whatever happens on the 7th, it proves to be the highwater mark for Nigel and his goons who are literally voting for the company boss.
