For Netflix's "Delhi Crime: Season 3," director Tanuj Chopra reunites with cinematographer Johan Heurlin Aidt to capture the intense pursuit between two formidable women portrayed by Shefali Shah and Huma Qureshi in this Emmy-winning crime drama. Born in Copenhagen and based in Brooklyn and Los Angeles, Aidt previously shot Delhi Crime's first season and has worked on House of Cards, Ocean's 8, The Report and The Wizard of Lies

"Shooting two strong women chasing each other, both main characters and opposites. I wanted to show that even when it's quiet, it's loud for both of them in different ways. Signature Primes were the obvious choice to create the world of Delhi crime. Their realistic feel gets me as close to the human eye as possible due to the minimal flaring, close focus and no distortion or breathing. A clean image. And I think 90% of the show was shot between 29 and 35mm. 29mm is great for getting really into the head of Shefali's character, it requires trust and only the best actors can perform with a camera almost touching their face. We have a strong bond and she made me light her different after rehearsing. I'd sometimes be so affected by Shefali's and Huma's acting that I'd be in tears. I don't understand Hindi but I can understand good acting and real emotion. Signature Primes close focus on a wider lens adds the exact texture of the eye where even the toughest criminal and strongest police officers share with everyone other human being".Johan Heurlin Aidt, cinematographer.
